He wondered to himself about his old rubber shoe that he lost in that cold blue city. Does his shoe miss him as he misses it, or has it changed like all the human faces that used to laugh at his comedic act as a clown worn out by work? He tried to forget and began contemplating that crystal ball staring at him. He became afraid, looked around, and distracted himself by playing with that dead butterfly.
