Inspiration strikes him from both grand and minute details—the intricate decorations, ornate patterns, and bold African hues. It is the individuals he encounters daily who motivate him to create art, not merely as it appears, but as a reflection of what it could become.

Drawing from his childhood in a rural town overlooking the Nile, Galal Yousif recalls the vibrant colors of his upbringing, intertwined with the people, homes, and cultural significance that shaped his early years. These memories, along with his ongoing experiences in Sudan and other African nations he visits and resides in, serve as the foundation for capturing the diverse narratives of African peoples through his art.
