This artwork explores the concept of time as fragmented and unstable. Using abstract forms and chaotic compositions, it visually represents the interruption of time, reflecting the emotional turmoil of conflict. The interplay of distorted shapes and contrasting colors invites viewers to contemplate how external events can distort our perception of time and existence.

Usra Hamza:

(born in Khartoum, 1992) is a self-taught Sudanese artist who began her

artistic journey in 2014 as a means of self-discovery and expressing complex emotions.

She employs mixed media to create works that reflect her inner dialogue with the world,

blending bold lines with deep colours. For her, art is an act of liberation—a space for

honesty and vulnerability, where the intangible transforms into visual forms that capture

the essence of human experience.
