Connection is an artwork that depicts two figures attempting to communicate, both representing the same individual. The piece explores the internal dialogue and the complexity of self-connection, using contrasting colours and forms to illustrate the struggle and harmony within. Through dynamic lines and expressions, it invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys of self-communication and understanding.

Usra Hamza:

 (born in Khartoum, 1992) is a self-taught Sudanese artist who began her

artistic journey in 2014 as a means of self-discovery and expressing complex emotions.

She employs mixed media to create works that reflect her inner dialogue with the world,

blending bold lines with deep colours. For her, art is an act of liberation—a space for

honesty and vulnerability, where the intangible transforms into visual forms that capture

the essence of human experience.
